用途
生物顯微鏡供醫療衛生單位、高等院校、研究所用于微生物、細胞、細菌、組織培養、
懸浮體、沉淀物等的觀察，可連續觀察細胞、細菌等在培養液中繁殖分裂的過程等。在細胞學、寄生蟲學、腫瘤學、免疫學、遺傳工程學、工業微生物學、植物學等領域中應用廣泛。顯微鏡的重要光學技術參數在鏡檢時，人們總是希望能清晰而明亮的理想圖象，這就需要顯微鏡的各項光學技術參數達到一定的標準，并且要求在使用時，必須根據鏡檢的目的和實際情況來協調各參數的關系。只有這樣，才能充分發揮顯微鏡應有的性能，得到滿意的鏡檢效果。 顯微鏡的光學技術參數包括：數值孔徑、分辨率、放大率、焦深、視場寬度、覆蓋差、工作距離等等。這些參數并不都是越高越好，它們之間是相互聯系又相互制約的，在使用時，應根據鏡檢的目的和實際情況來協調參數間的關系，但應以保證分辨率為準。

基本使用方法
顯微鏡的使用
利用自然光源鏡檢時，最好用朝北的光源，不宜3采用直射陽光；利用人工光源時，宜用日光燈的光源。
鏡檢時身體要正對實習臺，采取端正的姿態，兩眼自然張開，左眼觀察標本，右眼觀察記錄及繪圖，同時左手調節焦距，使物象清晰并移動標本視野。右手記錄、繪圖。
鏡檢時載物臺不可傾斜，因為當在五套載物臺傾斜時，液體或油易流出，
