Interface Unit
For connecting to the Walker P305 / P316 range of wind indicators, with appropriate NMEA
0183 serial data either input separately or from the Walker NMEA 0183 serial transmitting wind
speed and wind direction masthead units, a 1 metre cable assembly, with moulded EMC plugs at
each end (supplied with the indicator) is used. This connects to the EMC socket fitted on the
NMEA Wind Interface Unit from where the combined NMEA 0183 serial wind data is
transmitted. The interface also facilitates the use of a separate P325 Remote Dimmer Control,
connected through a P328 Universal Junction Box, for single or multiple indicator use. If no “old
type” wind indicators are involved on the system concerned, set switch “SW1” to “0” position.
