ABB Advant Station 520i
Advant Station 520i is based on a rack mountable industrial adapted workstation which is ableto drive two high-resolution (1280x1024 pixels) 17”, 19”, or 21”color monitors. The Basic Unitis equipped with one graphical channel. One additional graphical channel can be obtained as anoption. To be able to communicate over the Advant OCS communication network, MasterNet,the basic unit has to be equipped with a Real Time Accelerator (RTA) board. With the 21”monitor the screen update frequency can be chosen between 50, 60, or 72 Hz. In environmentswith strong magnetic fields (50 or 60 Hz) the screen update frequency should be the same as thedisturbance source.
The Advant Station 520i is a high level workstation that supports the full range of options. Theprocessor has a clock frequency of 132 MHz. The Advant Station 520i needs at least a 2 Gbytehard disk for running as an operator workplace. The basic system unit is equipped with 32Mbyte RAM. The amount of primary memory RAM has to be ordered. The minimum amountfor running as an operator workplace is 64 Mbyte
The Advant Station 520i is based on Hewlett-Packard 9000/748 series workstation with the HP-UX 10.20 operating system and can have one or two monitors. They can be equipped with a real-time accelerator board (3BSE013034R1), including an optionally redundant interface to MasterBus 300/300E, ensuring real-time performance and response.
