JAI offers newer products with similar functionality as the CV-M538E. Therefore, the CV-M538E will be phased out in near future and JAI recommends that this product is not considered for new design-in projects. Please contact JAI to hear about alternative products.
The CV-M538E
remote micro-head camera uses a 1/2" EIA (RS-170) CCD sensor. The miniature size
(?17 mm) and the light weight (15 g) makes it ideal for use in small spaces and
on fast moving mechanics (robot arms, etc.)
A high-speed shutter
function and asynchronous reset allows the camera to capture high quality images
of fast moving objects. Applications include dynamic motion image capturing,
on-line inspection, gauging, printing and graphics.
CCU dimensions (HxWxL): 40 x 50 x 80 mm
The CV-L107CL is a 3CCD, prism based color line scan camera that
targets industrial inspection applications.
The CV-L107CL is designed for
high speed applications. It can be used for print verification, surface quality
inspection, food/fruit sorting and other similar applications. The CV-L107CL
operates with 40 MHz pixel frequency, which results in a scan rate of just above
19kHz. The camera delivers 24 or 30 bit digital RGB output via a standard Camera
Link interface. It features flat-field (two point) correction, shading
correction, several trigger modes, and individual exposure on R, B and G
channels.
The camera comes standard with a Nikon F-mount lens adapter, but
can also be equipped with an optional P-mount.
Dimensions (HxWxL): 90 x 90 x 90 mm
The camera outputs 25 full frames/second in
continuous (free-run) mode and up to 24 frames/second in external trigger
modes.
Higher frame rates can be achieved by using the Partial Scan or
Vertical binning modes.
For proper and safe operation, the PoCL cameras
require a compatible frame grabber. The camera complies with the "Safe Mode"
feature stipulated by the PoCL standard.
Dimensions (HxWxL): 29 x 44 x 66 mm

The SP-5000M-PMCL and SP-5000C-PMCL are high performance 5-megapixel CMOS cameras providing an exceptional combination of resolution, speed, and image quality.
Built around a 5-megapixel CMOS imager (Lince5M250), these Spark Series cameras can provide full resolution output at up to 134 fps, depending on the bit depth and tap geometry. Featuring a global shutter, the camera can produce crisp images of moving objects with no spatial distortion.
A dual Camera Link interface provides Base, Medium, or Full confugurations to fit performance requirements. AOI windowing modes enable even higher performance.
Despite its high frame rates, the SP-5000 delivers outstanding image quality due to several unique features. For example, an auto-scaling front-end uses the full well capacity even in lower light conditions to more accurately quantize noise and improve dynamic range. On the color model (SP-5000C-PMCL), an on-chip 4-channel analog gain control is provided to allow individual adjustment of R, G1, G2, and B information for better white balancing with reduced noise.
The monochrome model (SP-5000M-PMCL) offers excellent NIR response and supports 1 x 2, 2 x 1, or 2 x 2 binning modes for even greater sensitivity.
The color model (SP-5000C-PMCL) provides raw Bayer output in 8-bit, 10-bit, or 12-bit pixel depths.
Both models include an automatic level control (ALC) function for auto exposure control in changing lighting conditions and a versatile lens control function that includes P-iris control as well as 3-axis control for motorized lenses, pan/tilt heads, and other analog accessories.
Power can be supplied through the dual Mini Camera Link interface, or can be provided via the separate 12-pin connector.
Uses C-mount lenses.
Dimensions (HxWxL): 62 x 62 x 55.5 mm
Note: these cameras will soon be available with GigE Vision, or USB3 Vision interfaces, as well as 2-channel or 4-channel CoaXPress interfaces. Contact JAI for more information.

The SP-20000M-PMCL and SP-20000C-PMCL are 20-megapixel CMOS cameras providing an exceptional combination of resolution, speed, and image quality.
Built around the CMOSIS CMV20000 imager, these Spark Series cameras offer full frame resolution of 5120 x 3840 pixels at a remarkable 30 frames per second. This combination of speed and resolution makes them ideal for examining flat panel displays, printed circuit boards, and many other applications where detailed inspections are required across a wide area.
In addition, the Spark SP-20000 cameras are well-suited to persistent surveillance, border security, aerial mapping, and other outdoor applications, thanks to such features as automatic level control (ALC) linking shutter and gain for best exposures under changing light conditions; and a high dynamic range mode.
The monochrome model (SP-20000M-PMCL) offers horizontal and vertical binning plus excellent NIR response while the color model (SP-20000C-PMCL) provides raw Bayer output at 30 fps. A built-in high dynamic range (HDR) mode (monochrome only) lets users define 2 knee points to expand the dynamic range of the camera in high contrast situations.
Both monochrome and color models leverage CMOSIS' 8-transistor (8T) pixel architecture to implement true correlated double sampling (CDS) for outstanding image quality with the highest degree of pixel uniformity. An industry-leading 1:50000 parasitic light rejection ratio minimizes global shutter leakage for clean images with sharp contrast.
Dual Mini Camera Link connectors in a two-cable "full" configuration provide the bandwidth necessary for high-speed, high resolution ouput. Power can be supplied through the Camera Link connectors using a dual-channel-powered frame grabber, or can be provided via the separate 12-pin connector.
Uses F-mount lenses.
Dimensions (HxWxL): 62 x 62 x 84.5 mm
Note: these cameras will soon be available with CoaXPress (2x) or USB3 Vision interfaces. Contact JAI for more information.
