同步帶分單面有齒和雙面有齒兩種，簡稱為單面帶和雙面帶。雙面帶按齒排列的不同，有D型(對(duì)稱齒廓)和DⅡ型(交錯(cuò)齒廓)之分。內(nèi)外面都有齒的齒形帶適用于旋轉(zhuǎn)方向改變的多軸傳動(dòng)。目前同步帶及帶輪常用齒廓有梯形、漸開線、圓弧、拋物線等，齒廓一般用滾刀或插齒刀加工。在我國，梯形齒同步帶傳動(dòng)已制訂有九項(xiàng)國標(biāo)，但圓弧齒同步帶傳動(dòng)還未有國家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)，紡織工業(yè)部統(tǒng)一了國內(nèi)高扭矩同步帶單圓弧齒和雙圓弧齒兩大類帶和輪的齒廓尺寸，制訂了六項(xiàng)行業(yè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
